In Puerto Rico, one of the main problems in the accumulation of vacations and illness is that not everyone accumulates them equally. In the past these definitions were regulated by the so-called "Mandatory Decrees" which varied from one industry to another. Then we had the 1995 reform and more recently the labor reform of 2017. Employees could be covered by any of these laws depending on the date they started working.

This represents a problem for most payroll programs, particularly for those that were designed for jurisdictions other than Puerto Rico. Not so for MSC Payroll since it allows you to define various  accumulation methods for these benefits.
